3 | Sling Shot Thrill Ride

Are you a thrill seeker? Or perhaps you’re an adrenaline junkie. Either way, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk has the thing just for you. Enter, the Sling Shot Thrill Ride. This massive sling shot launches two brave riders over 120 miles an hour and over 300 feet. Not only that but at takeoff passengers feel just over 5 G’s. 4 | I Love Sugar

From time to time, we all find ourselves dealing with a pesky sweet tooth. Well, I love Sugar has you covered and has exactly what you need to fix that. Delicious options include childhood favorites and new hits. Those that have been fortunate enough to visit, often refer to it as the Apple store of candy, and that label is accurate. I Love Sugar houses art made from candy-like, chandeliers and giant mosaics! They even have something for the adults – a full candy Martini Bar. Whether you’re looking to find your childhood favorite or experience something new, I love Sugar is a must see when on The Boardwalk.

5 | The Bowery

Up next on our list is one that even the locals call home, The Bowery, an oceanfront dining and happy hour venue. Just 50 yards from the water, this world-famous bar was established in 1944 and is the self-proclaimed eighth wonder of the world. With the philosophy, “you can’t beat fun,” it stays true to its history even to this day. Its waiters hold Guinness World Records, like “Scuba” Osbourne who carried 34 mugs without using a tray, and “Don’t Cry Joe” who danced for 5,295 consecutive hours. The Bowery offers nightly live entertainment, amazing food, and refreshing drinks. Plus, outdoor seating is always available! This place is considered a tradition when visiting the boardwalk and you’ll want to add it to your itinerary next time you’re in Myrtle Beach.

6 | Ripley’s Believe it or Not

Prepare yourself to experience the strange, shocking, and odd world of Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Within lives oddities like the world’s tallest man and mind-boggling illusions. But it doesn’t end there, they even house a 5D Theater where you can feel like you’re a part of the action in two films – and my personal favorite, Ripley’s Aquarium. There you’ll find over 10,000 exotic sea creatures and even prehistoric horseshoe crabs!

8 | Beach Access

I can’t think of anything better than having direct beach access on top of all these great restaurants and attractions. Build a sandcastle, read a book, or go for a swim in the sky-blue Atlantic Ocean – all of which are sweeter with rental items and food located right on the beach.

9 | Myrtle Beach SkyWheel

We’ve all been on a Ferris wheel at some point in our lives. But I can guarantee you that you’ve never been on one like the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel. This 187-foot tall observation wheel was first opened in 2011 and is currently the sixth-tallest ferris wheel in the United States. Boasting an impressive 38 capsules and offering awesome views which can’t be found anywhere else on the coast. During your ride, you’ll go through three revolutions lasting about 10-15 minutes and get amazing views you won’t be able to find anywhere else in Myrtle Beach!

10 | Broadway at The Beach

We couldn’t resist the urge to include this amazing addition to our list. Shop-a-holics rejoice as we have just the thing for you. Broadway at the Beach is a mega shopping center and entertainment complex. Spanning over 350 acres with over 20 restaurants and over 100 shopping storefronts, it’s safe to say, you’ll find plenty of retail therapy here. The complex is divided into different zones named New England Fishing Village, Caribbean Village, Charleston Boardwalk, Heroes Harbor, and Celebrity Square which is a warehouse district-themed nightclub district. Two of my personal favorites here are the Hard Rock Cafe and the Dave and Busters! This is one stop where I can guarantee you’ll have an amazing time!
